Terms of sale & refunds
The plain-language version of the small print: one key, one account, and what a refund does to the license — plus who actually sold it to you, which depends on where you bought it.
What you are buying
One license for SkyHub: Pilot's Dark World — a single-use key that unlocks Career Mode on one SkyHub account, permanently. It is a one-time purchase: no subscription, no recurring charge, and every future update of the game is included.
The SkyHub Companion App (the flight recorder application) is part of the license. Nothing else in the game is ever sold for real money.
Where you bought it, and who sold it to you
SkyHub is sold in more than one place, and the license is identical wherever you bought it — same key, same Career Mode, same updates. What changes is who you bought FROM, because that is who took your money and who your consumer rights are against.
- Direct from skyhubairways.com. Paddle is the merchant of record: they take the payment, apply the VAT or sales tax of your country, and issue your invoice. Your card details go to Paddle over an encrypted connection and are never seen or stored by SkyHub. Paddle is also the name that appears on your statement, which is worth knowing before you read it as a charge you do not recognise.
- From a storefront such as simMarket. That store is the seller. Its terms cover the sale, its checkout took the payment, and its invoice is the one you keep — we are not a party to it.
Whichever it was, the key is redeemed the same way, on the same page, and the account it opens is the same account.
Delivery
Bought direct, delivery is instant and by email: the moment your payment clears, your license key is sent to the address you gave at checkout.
Bought from another store, that store delivers the key by its own process — usually to your account with them, or by email from them.
Either way, you enter it once on the activation page (skyhubairways.com/license) and it binds to your SkyHub account for good.
Key not arrived? If you bought direct, check spam first, then write to [email protected] with your order reference — we can re-issue it. If you bought elsewhere, the store that sold it to you is the one who can look up your order, and they are the faster route.
Refunds
Fourteen days, wherever you bought it. That is SkyHub’s promise and it does not shrink because you bought through somebody else — if the game is not for you, say so within 14 days of purchase and you get your money back in full. No forms, no interrogation.
What changes is only who processes it, because the refund has to come from whoever holds the payment:
- Bought direct from skyhubairways.com — ask through [email protected] or through Paddle directly, and we settle it.
- Bought from a storefront such as simMarket — ask them first, since they took the money and can return it fastest. If their own window is shorter than ours, or they will not process it, write to [email protected] inside the 14 days and we will put it right.
Two honest consequences, wherever you bought:
- A refund withdraws the license. The refunded key stops working, and an account activated with it returns to unlicensed — your career data is not deleted, but Career Mode closes until a new license is activated.
- By activating your key you receive the digital content immediately, which is why the refund window is the goodwill policy above rather than an open-ended right. Where local consumer law grants you more, that law prevails.
A chargeback raised instead of a refund request has the same effect on the license, immediately. Talk to whoever sold it to you first — it is faster for you and cheaper for everyone.
The fair-play rules
The airline works because everyone flies the same game. Five rules follow, and they are enforced:
- One key, one account. Keys are single-use; a key that has been redeemed cannot be redeemed again, and a key in your hands is not yours to sell, rent or pass on — however you came by it, bought, won or granted. That is a rule about onward transfer by a holder, not about the stores we supply.
- Your account is yours alone. It is one person’s account: yours. Sharing the login, handing it to somebody else to fly, or flying it from two places at once may end in suspension. A cockpit at home with six screens and a yoke is still one pilot — the rule is about who is at the controls, not how much hardware is behind them.
- No paid or public access. You may not charge other people for access to SkyHub, or offer it to the public on machines you run — a simulator café, an arcade, a pay-per-hour venue — whether they fly on your account or on accounts you create for them. Playing SkyHub yourself while running a business is not the issue; selling somebody else time in it is. If that is what you want to do, write to [email protected]. There is a venue arrangement, and we would far rather license one than find it.
- No falsified flights. Telemetry that could not have been flown is rejected, and repeated attempts may cost the license.
- Licenses obtained fraudulently (stolen cards, abused refunds) are revoked without notice.
The service
SkyHub is an online game: careers, rosters and pay live on our servers, and an internet connection is required. We work to keep it available around the clock but do not promise uninterrupted service, and scheduled maintenance is announced when it is disruptive.
SkyHub is a work of fiction for flight-simulation entertainment. It is not affiliated with any real-world airline, and nothing in it is real-world flight instruction.
Questions
Anything unclear before you buy — or after — write to [email protected]. If you bought from another store and your question is about the order itself, they can answer it faster; anything about the game or the account is ours. This revision: August 2026.
